Sharing the love of life,
labor, and creative expression.

Drums have been employed throughout time by countless cultures around the world as an instrument to bring people together in community. These unique drums of standard, custom, or traditional design have moose hide heads and are tunable. Their strong vibration is deeply felt and is a unifying experience.

"Peter's first drum, the 'Spruce Moose', has been played on now by over 1,000 people from grandmothers to toddlers to Baba Olatunji and Ralph Nader. It's been seen on CNN and has become a special symbol for the heartbeat of the midcoast."

Peter has been making drums and leading drum circles at camps, schools, retreats, dances and festivals since the late 1980's. He lives in the small, rural town of Brooks, Maine with his two children. He also manufactures wooden orchard ladders and has been active in his community as Fire Chief and a Member of the School Board. His deep concern and commitment to the quality and survival of life on this planet coupled with his passion for drumming motivated him to begin making the large drums in hopes that they will contribute to harmony in the world.
